Welcome See It Through, a new band from Tucson, Arizona, to No Echo. "We were inspired by late '80s Youth Crew, Dischord Records, and melodic hardcore," the band wrote me earlier this week.
"Some bands that influence our sound sonically are Turning Point, Battery, Minor Threat, and Dag Nasty. We are also very inspired by bands like Youth of Today, Better Than a Thousand, 7 Seconds, and Gorilla Biscuits for the way they used lyrics and messaging to promote idea sharing, optimism and free thinking ," the See It Through guys responded when I asked them earlier this week about their specific influences."
See It Through started as an idea shared long distance through phone calls and voice memos. Things got fleshed out once vocalist Brian Humenik moved back to Tucson and the search for members to fill out the band began. The lineup was eventually solidified and the quartet is completed with guitarist David Tartaglia, bassist John Velasco, and drummer Adam Dunklee joining Humenik.
Locking in a deal with New Age Records (Life Force, Moral Law), See It Through spent part of last month at Sound Signal Audio with engineer Zachary Rippy to track would what become their forthcoming debut EP, What’s Behind Us Never Fades.
“This record is a letter and mantra to ourselves of the people we aspire to be," the band told me. "We are seekers, who are on a journey to continue to learn about ourselves and find the strength to overcome fear, insecurity and self doubt. Because, when we work to become the best versions of ourselves, we can be of service to others in hopes of making a positive difference in this world.”

With the EP due out this spring, See It Through is looking toward a busy 2025. "After working on this record for an extended period of time, we are super excited to get out and share it with the world. We have a bunch of shows coming up in Tucson and Phoenix, and we are also looking to head to California later in the year to do some weekend tours with bands we love.
"The West Coast has so many great hardcore bands and we couldn’t possibly list them all. About Face, Step by Step, Meantime, Change, Time Heist, and Firestarter are a few of our favorites."
