No Escape, a seminal hardcore band, first took root in 1989 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Tim Singer, then known for his work with Boiling Point zine and later Deadguy and Kiss It Goodbye, crossed paths with Steve Crudello, a member of Turning Point at the time. Though they initially met in New York City, the two Jersey natives later became housemates in Ocean City, New Jersey. It was there that Steve began jamming with drummer Chris Brisiel from Delaware and bassist Ben Lerman from Philadelphia. After a jams and new songs, Tim joined the lineup, and No Escape got busy.

Before breaking up a few years later, the NJHC outfit released a demo, a split with Turning Point on Temperance Records, and their 1995 LP, Just Accept It through Overkill Records, a label owned by late Brotherhood vocalist Ron Guardipee.

After a long hiatus, No Escape reemerged in 2021 with a six-song EP, Selective Punches, their last (at least for now) batch of songs.

Coming out next month via Revelation Records, No Escape: 1990-1993 collects all of the band's studio material they recorded during their original run together with new mixes and mastering by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise, Deathreat).

Check out the newly mixed/mastered version of "Silenced" from the forthcoming No Escape discography:

“Ironically, a song titled ‘Silenced' is the sonic punch that announced No Escape’s riff-heavy, brand of hardcore music to the world. It was the first studio song recorded by the band a mere 17 days after their inception," says Crudello.

"The song, always a crowd favorite, stands up as well today as it did when it came out in 1990. If you have never listened to No Escape, ‘Silenced’ is a great introduction.”
