Their formation story:
(Firman Pakaya, guitar): "Back in 2022, Alvendi, Zacky, and Giftel had a talk to form Mepuzo, and then asked me to join in as guitarist. We then started to write a couple of riffs that ended up on our first EP. Noval joined the band recently as a second guitarist."
Their sound in their own words:
"Just simple and straight in-your-face hardcore, with punchy riffing guitars, catchy drum hooks, and angsty yet raspy vocals. If you're into bands like Pain of Truth, Trapped Under Ice, King Nine, Madball, Terror, and a lot of early '00s hardcore, you'll love us, I promise you [laughs]."
Latest release info:
"We started writing the songs back in 2022, before our first show. We then recorded the first 3 songs in 2023, and the last song we recorded a couple of months ago, so its quite a long journey. Fun fact: Zacky recorded the drums in only 2 hours. This EP was a purely DIY process, record, mixed, and mastered by yours truly. It's really fun."
Future plans:
"Shoot some footage for new music video, and writing new music, hopefully [laughs]."
