Band: Enemy Within

Their formation story:
(Andy, vocals): "Allen came up to me at a Cannibal Corpse show and said, 'what up, I’m Allen. I see you moshing crazy at show,' and I said, 'true.' I seen the same from him and within 5 minutes we were talking about starting a band."
(Allen, guitar): "We wanted to do something would blend some wider influences like death metal, Madball, Merauder, and Soul Search. That was the start of it all anyways. We then recruited Cian and Conor of Die Alone on drums and bass and Chris of Born Without Hope and Primal Step to really bring it all to life."
Their sound in their own words:
(Allen): "My riffs and influences come from a lifetime of listening to metal, grind, and hardcore and just translating that into something that sounds cool in my head and then into riffs.
"I’ve heard people say they hear all sorts of influences like Three Knee Deep, Slayer, Never Ending Game, Cannibal Corpse, Machine Head, Incendiary, and Soul Search, and they’re not wrong. Above all, though, I’m a mosher first and performer second so this is music For The Moshers, By The Moshers."
(Andy): "A soundtrack of redemption and revenge."
Latest release info:
(Allen): "Our debut EP was recorded at School House Studios with The Shadow King himself, Davis Maxwell. Cassettes will be released by the fine folks at Be About It Records in Montreal.
"This recording would not be possible without everyone involved: Davis, Andy, Cian, Conor, Chris, myself and a special shout out to Elijah of Spirit of Vengeance, the final boss of ONHC for the guest spot. Also, a warm thank you to Nick Braun who composed our beautiful piano intro."
Future plans:
(Andy): Allen is moving back to Regina, Saskatchewan and everyone is busy with jobs and life, but we are not stopping. We got more tracks in the chamber and opportunities to play some sick shows so we will keep this train rolling. We have plans to play West Canada, Montreal, Detroit, and anywhere the demon’s wanna dance so stay tuned or hit us up, for real. Our most ambitious goal is to play in China."
