Hello, it is Wyatt with No Echo with another video interview. This time with the Pittsburgh band Microwaves! The power trio has a new album, Temporal Shifter, coming out later this month on Decoherence Records, and I highly recommend you give it a listen when it drops.
Comprised of guitarist/vocalist David Kuzy, bassist Zach Moore, and drummer John Roman, Microwaves play the kind of noise punk you would expect to hear on Three One G Records. In fact, Three One G was their former label.
The trio has been together for over 20 years, and their sound is similar to bands such as Arab On Radar, Ex-Models, and The Chinese Stars.
Temporal Shifter’s sounds and landscapes can be attributed to a math-rock influence, while still maintaining a noise-punk attitude in the songs. Sonically, this record sounds massive, with each texture, nuance, and track carefully tended to:
