Witness Marker: PA-Based Outfit’s “Centrifuge” Is a Burst of Melodic Punk (PREMIERE)

Back in 2017, Lancaster, PA-based guitarist Bruce Ewell began to formulate what would end up morphing into Witness Marker via a set of demos under the name Burn it Backwards. He eventually began collaborating with vocalist Chris Werner, who Bruce knew from playing together in a reunion of the hardcore band, No One's Hero.

With the addition of rhythm guitarist and brother Steve Ewell, Bruce finalized the Witness Marker rhythm section with bassist Tyler Smith and drummer Nick Skladandy.

Once they solidfied their lineup, found their stylistic direction, and began playing shows, Witness Marker eventually forged a partnership with Division Street Sounds and Not Like You Records, who will be joining forces to release the group's forthcoming eponymous debut album.
