Formed in 2016 by Dante Dallavalle, Chris Lombard, Tito Valentin, Nico Sardone, and Ethan Baumgarten, still feel gone grew out of longtime friendships and a shared desire to make what Dante loosely calls an “emo” band. It was all filtered through years of growing up in hardcore and punk. After releasing four EPs without ever playing a show, the project quietly fell apart.
Perspective shifted years later. While playing in heavier New Jersey bands like Negative Force and XL Bully, Dante found a renewed appreciation for what still feel gone had created.
In early 2025, Dante and Chris reformed the band and rebuilt the lineup. Igor Vuko joined and helped shape much of the album’s guitar and bass work; Chris moved to bass, and Angel Amarante came in on drums, adding a level of intensity that firmly rooted the band in the hardcore ethos, if not a strict genre.
That balance defines still feel gone's debut full-length, Presley, recorded at Nada Studios with John Naclerio (Polar Bear Club, Brand New). The album draws from a wide emotional and musical palette, pulling influence from bands like Small Brown Bike, Jets to Brazil, Mineral, American Football, and Hot Water Music. It's undoubtedly a hook-driven affair:
Lyrically, the record centers on loss, grief, infidelity, and growing up in New Jersey, honoring shared histories and friendships along the way. The album is dedicated to “all lost dogs,” with the subtitle May all dogs be happy and healthy forever.
Now part of the Ride the Fury Records roster, Still Feel Gone are releasing Presley into a thriving New Jersey scene alongside bands like Sunnyboyy, Defy You, Bayway, and Ok Buddy.
With a record release show set for January 22 at the Pet Shop in Jersey City, still feel gone are finally bringing these songs into the rooms they were meant for.
