2017 has been a great and productive year for Clear Focus. Based in Buffalo, NY, the young straight edge band released their demo back in January, and since then, have hit the ground running, sharing the same bills with such OGs as Agnostic Front and Cro-Mags. This past spring, Clear Focus issued a 3-song promo, Self-Inflicting Damage, that also helped the combo reach a worldwide audience who immediately responded to their breakdown-heavy hardcore approach.
Now signed to Safe Inside Records, Clear Focus will soon be dropping Never Ending Pain, their debut 7". The EP was tracked at GCR Audio with Jay Zubricky (Every Time I Die, Malfunction) and I'm excited to bring you the exclusive premiere of its title track. After its relentless opening seconds, the song slows to a mid-tempo mosh, only to give way to an icy guitar riff that definitely has a certain crossover thrash appeal to it. Selective Aggression's Julie White also appears on "Never Ending Pain," and her guest vocals only add fuel to the fire.
