Their formation story:
(Liam Robison, vocals): "Deceit formed following Knoxville Hardcore Fest in the summer of 2023. My buddy Shane (who plays guitar) and I grabbed 3 of our friends (Alex, Matt, and Jay) and started playing some gigs in and around East Tennessee.
"Our main goal with this band is simply to contribute to the rich tradition of hardcore alive in Knoxville."
Their sound in their own words:
"We all grew up listening to Trustkill, Solid State, and Ferret Records bands and were introduced to metal and hardcore through New Wave of American Heavy Metal stuff like Lamb of God and All That Remains. With this band we wanted to pull from bands like Misery Signals, Zao, and Heaven Shall Burn."
Latest release info:
"We just released our demo, A Demonstration In Three Parts. The first 2 songs are the first song we wrote, and the last track has been a live favorite."
Future plans:
"We have a handful of shows in the coming weeks, then we will be recording more music for a split with another up and coming hardcore band from Knoxville."

"Shogun are the local heroes right now, with members of Will to Die and Melee. TwoxChoices are a group of young kids playing beatdown in the style of Irate and Denied. Every Promise Kept play symphonic metalcore in the vein of underOATH and Dead Blue Sky and are about to drop a sick release.
"Also check out Pressure Point, Double Tap, Do Yourself In, Chunked, Spiral, Law of Inertia, and Sidious."
