"We’re a band with a lot of influences, just as much on the new record for people who likes Blitz and Hüsker Dü as there is for those into The Sundays, The Cardigans, etc.," says Stud Count guitarist Matthew Green.

The Philadelphia-based quintet has appeared several times on No Echo before, with the last time being around the release of their Pleasure Center Promo + Demonstration cassette on Convulse Records (Militarie Gun, Cell Rot).

Feautring members of Ridgeway, Drïll Sergeant, Academy Order, Stud Count recently signed a deal with Smartpunk Records who will be releasing the band's debut album later this year.

The first taste released from the forthcoming LP is an catchy track called "Talkin’ 2 You" which is also being offered as a limited edition lathe 7-inch:

"I wrote 'Talkin’ 2 You' about finding your person; falling in love with them over and over again," says Stud Count vocalist Norelle Green.

"We actually wrote two different versions of this song, one for the record and this single version, which really gave us an opportunity to explore our sound, combine our respective influences etc. I think this song is a good representation of what to expect from the new LP, we hope you dig it!"
