The Hope Conspiracy Announce Album, Drop Music Video for Opening Track

The world might be in the toilet, but at least we have a new album coming from The Hope Conspiracy.

The Boston hardcore vets have just announced fourth full-length, Tools of Oppression / Rule by Deception, will be out in May. The last time we were blessed with an album from the band was 2006's Death Knows Your Name. Last year, The Hope Conspiracy released the Confusion/Chaos/Misery EP.

According to the press release Deathwish Inc. released this morning, the album is "aimed at political division, economic manipulation, war profiteering, media propaganda and other vile forms of global oppression." Heavy stuff.

The Hope Conspiracy also dropped a music video for the opening track on Tools of Oppression / Rule by Deception, an ominous slice of darkened hardcore entitled "Those Who Gave Us Yesterday." The video was directed by Jake Mulhern (Mothpowder Light Show):

Tools of Oppression / Rule by Deception was engineered by Kurt Ballou and Zach Weeks at God City Studios, and artwork for the release was created by acclaimed artist Alexander Heir (Death/Traitors):

Tools of Oppression / Rule by Deception will be out on May 31st via Deathwish Inc. (pre-order).
