Their formation story:
(Amie, vocals): "Ron (guitar) and I had talked about starting an ignorant hardcore or power violence band. After my previous project ended, we dove in, recruiting Ron's co-worker Ryan on bass and Sierra on guitar. Ron met Dillon playing a house show and we all clicked on what kinda music we were into and wanted to make."
Their sound in their own words:
"Ignorant, thrashy, hardcore with a touch of sass and grind, with songs about things ranging from labor exploitation, rape revenge, and the vapid commercilization of music and subcultures. The project was formed with the goal of expressing our most resentful, violent, and hateful emotions in a constructive and positive way, rather than keeping those feeling inside where they fester."
Latest release info:
"We recorded our debut EP, Rotten to the Core, entirely DIY, in our drummer's basement. Dillon (drums) engineered and mixed the entire thing, and we had it mastered by Aki McCullough (Nuhouse Studios, Dreamwell, Ameokama, etc.). It's the first six songs we wrote- and the process was 100% collaborative - every person contributes to the composition. theyre short, punchy, and pissed off"
Future plans:
(Sierra, guitar): "We're doing a short weekender with our friends in By The Deed from Pittsburgh at the end of January and playing shows around the Southeast and beyond, writing more songs and planning another release."
