Their formation story:
(Noah, drums): "Isaac and I met in high school and we met our original guitar player Tommy (currently in Ivy Pacific and Spinning) from going to shows around SD. The 3 of us started Headstone in 2016 originally as a melodic hardcore band.
"Tommy knew David and he joined on second guitar shortly after we formed. We pivoted to a heavier sound in 2018 and in 2022 my childhood best friend Mur joined us on bass and Isaac moved to second guitar."
Their sound in their own words:
"We play a combination of hardcore, doom, and death metal. Our influences are Black Sabbath, Crowbar, Twitching Tongues, Iron Age, Integrity, War Hungry, and Life of Agony."
Latest release info:
"The new tracks were recorded with Alex Jacobelli (currently in Negative Blast) at Sunsick Studios in San Diego. We recorded the instruments live, which is something we have always wanted to do, so we can’t thank Alex enough for trying that out with us. The two songs will be on our upcoming LP."
Future plans:
"Play some gigs and finish up this LP that will hopefully come later this year."
