Their formation story:
(Mike, vocals): "We started with most of us being between bands, really. Tom (drummer) and Luke (guitarist) met being in and out of bands for years. And finally decided to just start something of their own. I was speaking to Tom one day as we’ve known each other over the years, quickly bonding over heavy riffs and both being tattoo artists. He mentioned not playing in his old band anymore and I jokingly said, 'let’s just do some moshy stuff.' That’s when they brought me in and we had creative writing sessions at Luke’s.

"Some time later we got the itch to actually get in a room to feel how the riffs would actually sound. Booked a room and that’s when I met Sam (bassist) who was in one of Luke’s other old bands. Who’s not only an extra head for riffs but has that tinkerer type mindset happy to mess around with lighting, in-ears, etc. From there we just kept writing until things seemed to make sense to us all."

Their sound in their own words:
"Like any band, we take on a lot of different influences but would definitely slot us in that metalcore lane but leaning more towards that chunky sound of hardcore with some bounce. Punchy groove with that gritty HM2 tone while inserting some unexpected eerie noises inbetween our love of breakdowns. With a vocal cadence on that more raw metal-tinged hardcore."

Latest release info:
"We just put out our first release as a 5-track EP called A Life of Miséria in mid-December. They were the ones that we felt compiled all the different dips and valleys of where we’d like to go with our sound, heavy aggression but still leaving room to evolve, I guess. By layering it with moments that were a bit more like crescendos."

Future plans:
"Getting ready for the year to mainly play shows finally. Last year we wanted to take our time with the first release to make sure it showcased where we wanted to go with the band as a clear starting point. We’ve also been workshopping ideas for the next release but too soon to say much else. So yeah playing shows is on the top of the list for now."

What other bands from the region should we check out?
"From the top of my head, two bands that everyone should keep their eyes on from around these ends would be TS Warspite, raw fast punk hardcore, and Unjust, old-school Youth Crew.

"Here are some other bands from around the UK. On the darker front of hardcore Fatalist, Mastiff, Burner, Eyeteeth. and Grief Ritual. The metallic hardcore side definitely check out xApothecaryx as well as Hour of Reprisal who just announced a split with the hometown heavy hardcore lot, Lethal Minds."
