Slan, Ägd (various labels, 2024)

Slan are an absolute bangin’ hardcore punk band from Gothenburg, Sweden and like all things from that region, it simply shreds.

It's a deluge of 16 ripping tracks straight from the hands of the punk rock gods.

The LP's release has been handled by Not Enough, Autoreverse, Flyktsoda, Rawmantic Disasters, and Way Back When Records.

What’s most notable about Slan is their “shock and awe” approach to how their music is written. This isn’t your quintessential d-beat mangel, but more straight forward raw kangpunk with more emphasis on speed and complete riff carnage.

It’s fast, I mean real fast! Every note and chaotic snap of the snare gives a dose of adrenaline that can only compare to the likes of classic Krigshot or even Frigöra.

This LP is a follow up from their 2022 EP, Skiter I allt, which is highly recommended for fans of ear-slaughtering raw punk.

The Swedish punks never disappoint, and I suggest hopping on Slan’s latest LP as it’ll get plenty of spins for years to come.
