Postage: Melodic Punk Outfit Got the Whole Hooks Thing Down on “Smitten” (PREMIERE)

Photo: sak_or_die

Postage is a melodic punk group out of Albany, NY.

Featuring musicians who also play in such bands Male Patterns, Signal Lost, and After the Fall, the quartet is in the same musical wheelhouse as ALL and Big DRILL Car. In other words, these gents know how to stuff their songs to the limit with one hook after the next.

Postage is four friends from tons of other bands including Signal Lost, Male Patterns, and After the Fall. They play loud abrasive melodic pop punk for fans of Leatherface and ALL. They will be playing the Fest and their other project, After the Fall, is touring with Good Riddance and Strike Anywhere for a few dates on the way to the Fest. Postage’s new LP comes out Nov 5 on Dirt Cult Records. LMK your thoughts.

Today, we're being treated to a track called "Smitten" from Postage's forthcoming 12-inch slab of vinyl. As you'll understand within the first seconds of the song, this New York combo is all about keeping shit catchy:

Postage guitarist/vocalist Mike Moak offers some background on the track:

"'Smitten' is a previously unreleased song from our second recording for the Flexi 2 EP. It's just a catchy pop/love song about being smitten with someone. LP2 recorded at the Blasting Room.”

Dirt Cult Records will be releasing the Postage LP on November 5th.
