It's great to have new music from Life's Question. I've been a fan of the band since they dropped their Cursed the Will to Dream EP back in 2018, instantly falling in love with their penchant for groove-driven rhythms, melody, and meaty guitar riffs. It's hardcore with plenty of bite but it's channeled through with a fine focus on songwriting and making things memorable, not just thrown together parts.
Life's Question's last release was 2022's full-length album, World Full of…, and since then, the band has inked a deal with Flatspot Records, making them labelmates with such heavy-hitters as Scowl, End It, and Karma.
"When I Meet God" is the first single from Life's Question's forthcoming debut release for Flatspot, a 6-song self-titled EP. The song finds lead singer Josh Haynes trading vocal lines with guitarist Abby Rhine who's melodic approach lends the track a radio-ready sheen.
The story-driven video for "When I Meet God" was produced and directed by Luis Hernandez, vocalist of Los Angeles hardcore band Alpha & Omega:
