The Central Massachusetts wrecking crew known as Hard Target are gearing up for a new release. This time time out, they've joined forces with Static Era Records (Cruel Hand, Rollin' Coffin) for the forthcoming release of an EP entitled The Shield.
It's been a productive year for Hard Target with the band playing across New England with the likes of Death Threat, Stick to Your Guns, and Palehorse. Their live performances have attracted fans of such metallic hardcore greats as Hatebreed and All Out War along the way.
The Shield will be out soon, but No Echo has a track from it called "Built to Fail" that finds the group collaborating with Wisdom & War vocalist Chanel for extra oomph. Hard Target frontman Nick Burns describes "Built to Fail" as “a track that hits with the flow and then the heavy. Chanel is one of our best friends and biggest supporters, with an insanely unique voice and flow. We love her."

In addition to Chanel, The Shield also features guest vocal spots from Mat Bruso of Bury Your Dead and Ethan Harrison of Great American Ghost.
