With a wide-screened sound that emcompasses elements of everything from post-hardcore to shoegaze to riffy alt.rock, meet Feel Visit.
"Describing your own sound is always a challenge but I believe we have a blend of experimental hardcore and alternative," vocalist Jacob Hardin tells No Echo. "The influences vary greatly depending on who you ask but some that shine through would be bands like A Perfect Circle, Poison the Well, Deftones, or Misery Signals."
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Feel Visit recently dropped their debut release, a 5-song EP entited Salience this past April. "I like to think this EP is the purest part of each of us put on display. It was written and recorded over the past five years and only contains what we love and felt was right in the practice space, Taylor's apartment or cranked loudly in Nate's car in an empty parking lot.
"It's not easy to set judgement and ego aside but when you are in a group with your closest friends it becomes much less challenging than it would be with randoms."
Jacob says Feel Visit are thrilled to get busy on the live circuit and they're proud to be part of the music scene in Atlanta. As far as bands from there to check out, here's what the singer says: "In Memories, Leafblower, Holy Ghost Tabernacle Choir, Canopy, Vexagon, Krypt, TVAD, and Kiande Amedha."
