Since forming in 2019, Ex Parents have been developing their sound both in the jam room and stage, always rooted in the hardcore punk that brought them together.
Their 2023 self-titled debut LP found the Roanoke, Virginia outfit mining influence from the likes of Poison Idea, Flux of Pink Indians, and Battalion of Saints, yielding glowing reviews from eminent punk outlets Razorcake and Maximumrocknroll.
Now rocking together as a power trio, Ex Parents are returning to record store shelves with a 4-track EP called Failure. The EP will hit streaming outlets on May 4th, but No Echo has partnered with Council Records to bring you an early listen below:
Ex Parents drummer/vocalist Skids said the following about the material on the new EP:
“The lyrical content and the title of the EP itself are meant to highlight the failure of individuals, ourselves, and society at large to recognize and reject violence, genocide, misinformation, marginalization, and predatory behavior, and how these things are often celebrated and revered in certain socio-political sectors.”

Failure will be out on May 2nd via Council Records.
