Badterms haven’t slowed down since their self-titled debut EP dropped back in 2023. If anything, they’ve only picked up momentum. Over the past eight months, the Boston bootboys have stayed active on multiple fronts—hitting Canadian festivals, taking their sound overseas for a European run, and continuing to grind it out across the East Coast.
Now, on the eve of another European tour, Badterms are back with Nest of Vipers, a new collection of previously unreleased material that builds directly off where their Panic Age LP left off last year.
This time around, founding members Curt Florczak and Hans Molnar are joined on record by the band’s full live lineup—Jason Hunt on guitar, Mike Reinhalter on drums, and Dominic DiNardo on bass. The result is a tighter, more fully realized version of the band, one that leans even harder into their mix of sharp songwriting and no-frills delivery.
Like their TKO Records labelmates No Time, Badterms approach each release as a chance to level up, and Nest of Vipers follows that same trajectory. The songs don’t hold back—blazing riffs, locked-in rhythms, and hooks that stick immediately, all delivered with a sense of urgency that never lets up.
Today, No Echo is premiering “Nothing Makes Sense,” a standout track that captures exactly where the band is at right now:
“Nothing makes sense in the modern world. And yet, here we are,” Florczak tells No Echo about the song. “Bombarded every minute of every day with the most insane, unimaginable absurdities, and horrors. The bad guys keep on winning. But, there’s still plenty of us who remember life before the utter chaos which we now inhabit.”
That tension runs through the track, balancing frustration with a sense of defiance. “We endeavor and hope, that to filter it all through a swaggering rock ’n’ roll burner, may offer a small respite to our world weary hearts,” he adds.
It’s that ability to channel real-world weight into something immediate and cathartic that continues to set Badterms apart. The band’s sound—rooted in skinhead rock ’n’ roll and Oi!—feels both classic and current, pulling from established traditions while staying grounded in the present.
