Band: Hope Court

Their formation story:
(ΚΑΓΕ (guitar, vocals): "Hope Court came after we called it quits on a previous band after 12 years. That band's core survives here too, in Άleξ (battery) and myself, joined by late-comer Nēdiam (bass, vocals).
"We had a need to move on, so we quickly got the ball rolling on some ideas that had been hovering around for some time and, pretty soon, we managed to trap some things into shape. The Hope Court is basically the place where those things meet."
Their sound in their own words:
"I dunno, I just let loose. I believe we all let loose. I had been looking back into extreme metal lately, and it felt so tactile and right, and it hasn't really felt that way in a while (for me at least). Lately, everywhere you look, new wild fuckers pop up everywhere making cool shit in extreme metal, and it's the scene I grew up with, so it's really inspiring! The same, of course, applies to what is happening in hardcore.
"Άleξ has been exposing Nēdiam and I to some amazing and inspiring US output. So we kinda let the one influence loose on the other, I guess. We all have been shaping each other's playing every step of the way so far, so it moved quick."
Latest release info:
"Nephandic Sciolatry is 3 out of the 4 songs we managed to record last time Άleξ was in Thessaloniki. We recorded the instruments live at True North Studios. Pantelis did a great job with the whole thing and we're thankful, cause he really pulled it off.
"This release was very loosely defined when we started recording with him and we're very happy with what he produced, so check him (and the release) out!"
Future plans:
"We're writing the next few songs and practicing, so we can do a small live set in SKG next time Άleξ is here. We're gonna try to tape it and make it into a music video for (probably) the title track."
What other bands from your region should we check out?
"Misanthropic Extremity are fucking insane. I like Among Death's Shadow, I want to see them to go wild on stage more, so I'm always looking out for that. Also, check out Head Cleaner, Rapture, Casket Dweller, and Θλίψις!?"
