Band: Destiny Bond

Their formation story:
(Vocalist Cloe): "Most of us have played in bands or on shows/tours together for over 8 years. Adam, Amos, and Rio had a band called Sweet Kiss going until their singer moved after lockdown, so they asked me to sing for a new version of the band called Destiny Bond in the summer of ‘21.
"We recorded our demo and played our first show that fall, and then Emily expressed interest in joining on second guitar, and so by 2022 we became the version of DB."
Their sound in their own words:
"Our sound and style takes influence from the earlier years of hardcore punk, i.e. The Faith, Ramones, Black Flag. Most of the riffs come from Amos who finds a lot of inspiration from Government Issue, Jerry's Kids, and Buzzcocks.
"Lyrically and vocally, there’s some inspiration from bands I grew up listening to like Cerce, American Nightmare, Kid Dynamite, and Carry On. We all listen to just about everything, and we love to bring everything to the table so we can make a hardcore band that’s fully our own. I’d say in that way we also take influence from artists like Ceremony and Fucked Up."
Latest release info:
"We have an upcoming LP being pressed as we speak, due out this summer on Convulse Records. It’s 10 songs that encapsulate our first full year as a band, with a few moments glimpsing into our future. I cannot wait to have it out in the world, so stay on the lookout!"
Future plans:
"We’re headed to the Southeast on tour in February to do some dates with our friends in Skinman. After that we have a few shows planned at home, with our album release show and tour to come in the summer."
