Their formation story:
"While living in Allston, Massachusetts at the end of 2020, we were watching the bands we had been working to build in the past come to a natural end while doing our best to stay inspired and optimistic about the new opportunities to come. Throughout 2021, Tim, Jerry, and Anthony continued to practice and write songs under the moniker "BILLY."
"We love the therapeutic process of playing music with our friends and intended to stick with it at a time where we couldn't do much else. As the music scene returned we were as inspired as ever but BILLY was still missing a few pieces to get the show on the road. After responding to a flyer ad that Anthony had posted on light poles around Allston one piece was filled as Blake joined the group on bass guitar.
"Over the next year or so, rehearsals and song writing continued. For months there were periods of working with different vocalists but none that were quite the right fit for BILLY. Bryan, who had been in a band with us before but spent the past few years swapping guitar and vocal duties in other bands, also found himself at a crossroads between projects to begin this year. We reconnected and he brought that final piece together for BILLY with a vengeance.

Their sound in their own words:
"Our style comes from a wide range of influences within punk, hardcore, and metal. BILLY songs are tailored to mix loud, impactful riffs with tight drum and bass grooves to invoke the head banging urgency and energy of a punk rock performance. When paired with the aggressive vocal delivery of lyrics that offer a glimpse into that angry, anxious pit in your stomach—we hope to share a feeling with audiences that is as inviting as it is abrasive."

"We recently released our debut 3-track demo on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms. These three songs capture a sample of our style and offer an invitation to anyone who would like to join us for an evening with friends and music at an upcoming show."
Future plans:
"We will be playing out throughout the Northeast US wherever we are welcome beginning with a few shows throughout July."
