Hey everyone, Wyatt here from No Echo, back with another video interview. This time, I’m sitting down with guitarist and songwriter Scott Danough of The Suffering. Many of you will recognize Scott as a founding force behind the legendary metalcore band Bleeding Through, pouring his heart into Portrait of the Goddess and especially into This Is Love, This Is Murderous.
Some of the riffs that shaped my youth and still echo in my mind today came straight from Scott and those early Bleeding Through records. Now, Scott is channeling his passion into a new project and embracing the raw, buzzing energy of HM-2 pedal-driven metal with his current band, the Bay Area’s own The Suffering:
I’ve had the chance to cover The Suffering for No Echo before, and you can bet we’ll be following their journey as they charge ahead. With a solidified lineup, The Suffering is poised to make a serious impact in the coming year.
