Essex-based The Meffs might be the next great export from the UK. The Meffs are a punk duo consisting of Lily Hopkins (guitar and vocals) and Lewis Copsey (drums and backing vocals). The band plays fast-tempo punk rock, proudly proclaiming that they're "louder than a four-piece." They released What a Life in 2024, which was recorded and produced by punk troubadour Frank Turner.
The Meffs had a whirlwind 2025, performing at Download Festival and opening for acts like the Sex Pistols. The band also headlined shows across the UK and Europe and spent the second half of 2025 writing and recording a second album titled Business.
Business was produced by Dan Weller and will be released this fall. The album will be available on streaming services, as well as on vinyl, CD, and cassette. In the meantime, check out some new Meffs tracks from the forthcoming LP below:
I sat down with Meffs guitarist and vocalist Lily Hopkins to discuss the album and their experiences playing shows across the UK and Europe.

Business will be out September 11 via FLG Records (pre-order).
