Based out of Ottawa, Canada, Moratorium is a metallic hardcore band that recently reached out to No Echo about their forthcoming debut EP, Night Mothers. "Working to create inclusive spaces" at their shows, the group's sonic toolkit includes elements of sludge, especially on the title track of their aforementioned extended play release.

"'Night Mothers' was written in protest of the so-called 'heartbeat bills' restricting women's bodily autonomy in the United States," Moratorium said via email about the track. No Echo got hooked up with the song, which features Chris Colohan (SECT, Cursed, Burning Love) adding his brutal vocals to the recording:

The EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Topon Das of Fuck the Facts fame. The ghastly-looking cover was done by Cole Hadley, a Calgary-based graphic artist.

Night Mothers will be digitally on Oct. 25. Walk a Mile Records will be issuing the release on cassette. Follow Moratorium on their social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for more info.
