Florida Men strike again… only that this time it’s Tampa’s very own, Afterthought.
Comprised by members from bands such as Contention, and fronted by Dogpound Media’s Danny Rivas, the band just dropped their second demo within a year of being formed, aptly titled Afterthought II – a follow up to this year’s Afterthought (bet you won’t forget the band’s name now, huh?).
Recorded by John Howard at Warhouse Recordings and sporting some killer artwork by @otakjelek, the Tampanian's demo packs 7 straight-forward hardcore tracks in a matter of 11 minutes with influences from bands such as Stop and Think, Mental, and pretty much anything that came out on Lockin’ Out.
The opening track, "You Can’t Pretend," is drummer Angelo’s favorite song off the recording, stating that, “it’s got really good energy and I feel like it encapsulates what we stand for and the sound we’re going for."
Afterthought is a project made by four friends who are just focused on playing music and having fun at local shows – all the while putting on for their hometown scene.
