(Anthony, vocals): "Slur formed when I thought to myself, "Slur would be a good name for a band," and then I immediately started looking for people with hardcore/punk backgrounds to join.
"Sebastian (bassist) and myself had started becoming friends around this time, so Sebastian was the first to join. When searching for drummers that weren't in 10 other bands, everyone suggested Devin to us and he's good friends with guitarist Ian, so he suggested him as the guitarist. We had a practice, and everything clicked..thus, Slur was born."

"Slur's sound leans more into the fast hardcore punk style, occasionally infused with metal guitar riffs and blast beats."
Latest release info:
"Our newest release, SLUR DEMOS 2, is about the different struggles that come with living, and how we perceive and handle them. Lyrically, a lotta of the songs are about being stoic when life keeps punching down on you.
"SLUR DEMOS 2 is more indicative of the sound we are pursuing..it's faster, heavier, has more parts for the kids to 2-step to, has more riffs, but isn't sticking to traditional hardcore troupes."
Future plans:
"Our plans for the band going forward are to branch out and making every city possible familiar with Slur. It's time to start hitting the road and showing people what we're all about. In the meantime, we'll be writing for the first legitimate EP and shopping it around to people."
