Band: Moral Pollution
From: Detroit, Michigan

Their formation story:
"Danny started writing songs at home in 2022. After writing the core of enough material, he reached out to Alex for help with getting the ideas for what would become the self-titled EP ironed out. Alex ran into Jeremy not long after and asked him if he'd consider fronting a band again after time spent away from his previous band.

"Jeremy reached out to Danny and demoed vocals on the songs, proving that there was a strong potential for it to become a full band. Alex and Danny started recording the four songs in Alex's home studio during which, asked Brad to join, him agreeing and subsequently playing on the EP. Joe joined shortly after and within weeks, released the EP and played a sold-out show in Detroit on January 1st of 2023."

Their sound in their own words:
"We are a d-beat-influenced hardcore band drawing inspiration from bands such as Tragedy, Disfear, Napalm Death, From Ashes Rise, and Power Trip."

Latest release info:
"Our debut release is a self titled four-song EP which was released on December 11, 2022, and was self recorded and released. The same day it was released to digital platforms, both Setterwind Records and Heroes and Martyrs Records reached out with interest in working with the band. We agreed to work with both having Setterwind handle the cassette release and Heroes and Martyrs taking the vinyl release."

Future plans:
"Work on our second EP started in late January for a planned release of mid to late spring 2023. We will be playing a few shows leading up to opening day one of Detroit hardcore festival Tied Down in June of 2023."

What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Bitter Truth, Silktail, Ante Up, Big Deal, Normal."
