Band: Everything Evil

Their formation story:
(Joey Berres, guitars): "We all grew up together, playing in various bands around Michigan. Our drummer Teddy and guitarist Anthony played in the band Sun of Mithra together. Teddy and our bass player Joe played in the band Atavan together. Teddy, Joe and I played in Apache together. Joe’s old band, Tough Call, used to play shows with Wedge’s old band, fordirelifesake.
"After Apache dissolved, Teddy, Joe and I still wanted to keep playing heavy music. We got Anthony on board, wrote and recorded a bunch of songs, sent them to Wedge to see if he was interested and here we are [laughs]!"
Their sound in their own words:
"Our sound is based on everyday struggles, annoyances, stressors and frustrations. Some of our heaviest influences are Every Time I Die, Converge, weed, Scarlet, The Bronx, American Nightmare, Crown Royal and beer."
Latest release info:
"Our new EP, The Eternal Decay, encompasses many different themes but some that seem to be consistent is stress, anxiety and dealing with dissatisfaction with things out of our control. The last three years really did a number on everyone and this was the perfect opportunity for the five of us to shed a lot of those feelings.
"The Eternal Decay was engineered, mixed, and mastered by our very good friend Ryan Thomas at his studio Mixed Signals in Waterford, Michigan. It’s out now via Flat Aht Records out of Pittsburgh. Cannot thank everyone at Flat Aht enough, especially Chuck, for helping us out and believing in this record."
Future plans:
"We have our record release party coming up May 13th at The Pike Room inside The Crofoot in downtown Pontiac with Downers of the World Unite, Wounded Touch, Feast For the Crows, and Moral Pollution. A few more things in the works for this summer and hopefully hitting the road for some short runs!"

"The bands that are playing our release show are all deserving of so much attention but other than them, everyone should be well aware of Deeper Graves, Call In the Cavalry, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, We Will Rot, Mafia Birdhouse, Mammon, The Lazarus Project, Gloom Squad (former members of Discerned), Hell Stuff, Nothing Gold, Mouthful of Locusts, Love Loss, Yaksaw, Those Hounds, Midwest Flair, Three the Hard Way, and The Cruel!"
