Band: Corruption Pact

Their formation story:
(Quentin, vocals): "Just like many 2022 / 2023 bands, we started writing songs during the first months of COVID with the idea of mixing ignorant death metal riffs with catchy hardcore beats, but without the intention of doing a real project.
"By the time, Jeremy (guitar), Elie (guitar), and I were busy playing 2010s-NYHC-kind of shit in a band called Jaw Crack that was pretty active between 2019 and earlier this year. We actually did our last show on April the 1st, and the very next day we were doing the first Corruption Pact rehearsal with William (drums) and Tom (bass) who were already good friends of ours, and from that point on we seriously focused on the project."
Their sound in their own words:
"I'd say that we combine in a modern way the agressive vibe of late '90s/early '00s Northeastern American Hardcore with the heaviness of European death metal sounds. We obviously label ourselves as a hardcore band because that's what we are and we want people to mosh hard to our music, but we make sure to keep a kind of Warhammer/fantasy death metal touch in our writing process.
"That being said, the bands that give us the most inspiration are probably these: Simulakra, Invoke, Harm's Way (early 2010s era), Worst Doubt, Gatecreeper, Bloodfury."
Latest release info:
"In September, we dropped a 2-track demo tape on Bustin Heads Records (big S/O to them) that pretty much sums up what Corruption Pact is about: blast beats, raw HM2ish-chuggy mosh parts, caveman vocals. We got Harold from Soul Provider/Koyo/Hangman to record some additional vocals on the second track and he did an amazing work."
Future plans:
"Playing as many shows as we can and releasing a promo tape or EP next year."

"These last 2-3 years, Paris has had a ridiculous amount of new blood in the hardcore scene with a new sick project or a new sick release coming out litterally every month, which is crazy.
"If you want to know what's up in the city of light, check out Worst Doubt, Headbussa, Sorcerer, Cavalerie, Take It In Blood, Cold Decay, Glassbone, Deviant, Calcine, and many others!"
