Their formation story:
(Jon, vocals): "Most of us have known each other since we were teenagers. Our guitarist Nick sent me some demos a few years ago while he was living in Knoxville and they were pretty sick. We played with the idea of making it into a band one day but didn't take it too seriously until he made the move back to town in 2023. The rest of the lineup was immediately on board because a lot of us already play in other projects together.

"There was a lot of perfect timing like that but I gotta give most of the credit to the insane growth our local scene has experienced lately. That kicked us into high gear for sure. It's sick to see the younger generations still give a fuck and that's difinitely an inspriration on its own. "

Their sound in their own words:
"We all have such diverse musical backgrounds and we knew right away we wanted to push the boundaries of what a modern hardcore band could sound like. We knew we wanted to capture the insane energy of early Every Time I Die and Dillinger shows, the sheer hardness and pit groove of Trapped Under Ice, Agitator, and Soul Search, and the disonnance and discomfort of early Converge and bands like Vein.fm and Candiria.

"Our guitarists Nick and Alex are both extremely well-versed in metalcore songwriting, our bassist Chad and drummer Dalton have a lot of experience writing progressive metal and anything that goes against the grain of a 4/4 pop beat. We have a lot of fun writing this stuff.

"'Progressive modern hardcore' describes us pretty well. We have rhythmic and time signature changes but we still have two steps and big breakdowns. We draw inspo from all over the DIY-sphere: from grindcore to prog rock, from deathcore to jazz fusion, metalcore to hip-hop, from skramz to beatdown."

Latest release info:
(Nick, guitars): "We released a single, 'Malleus,' last month This is our 3rd release in 8 months and we feel like it's more true to what we want to sound like. We're still falling into our own sound identity, but we've picked up on our strengths and weaknesses and we think that's evident with this single. The response has been insane too! It's a gritty song and it hits hard as hell live."

Future plans:
"We're about to record and release our second EP later in the Spring. We're doing a music video as a single and we're trying to phsically release the EP on a 7" as well. We're very confident this record will more accurately capture who we are and what we're trying to do as a band. EP2 is our priority, but we're looking to schedule some Spring and Summer shows and potential tours.

"Most of the band have full-time jobs, so regional runs, weekenders, and summer tours are what we look forward to playing."

What other bands from their region should we check out?
(Jon): "Backslide is the flagship heavy band from the Augusta scene and without a doubt the hardest working, most active, and longest currentlyactive band in town right now. Metalcore beatdown with a melodic twist. Our second guitarist Alex and drummer Dalton both play in Backslide together as well."

(Alex): "Other Augusta bands to check out: Pull the Trigger, Terminal Damage, Sonder.exe, Krypt, Trivia Night Rivals, Team Deathmatch, Hollow God, 7Stitches, Catch a Stray.

From The Carolinas: Laid Out. Brass Tongue. Gnasher. Chained. Reviler. Severed By Dawn. Rectoplasm. From Atlanta: Can't Keep Up. Kongstyle. Path to Failure."
