Coming Down is a hardcore outfit comprised of friends from the Rochester, New York area who have been part of the music scene there for years. Their story started after former Like Wolves members Jon Garwood (guitar), Max Quattrociocci (drums), and Phil Speed (bass) reached out to vocalist Rory Van Grol about fronting the band.
A veteran of Rochester bands Achilles, Standfast, and How We Are, as well as a Providence, Rhode Island's Soul Control, Rory's vocals are a nice fit for Coming Down's melodic strain of hardcore. Swiz and Fiddlehead are two sonic references that have been thrown around, and I won't argue against it.
Coming Down recently joined the Hex Records (Gaytheist, Wipes) roster who will releasing the band's debut album, Curves. The Flower City crew just dropped a track from the LP called "You Feel Okay?" to showcase their new chapter:
"We started tracking Curves back in April of 2023," Coming Down guitarist Jon Garwood tells No Echo. "The balance of work, family and rock is tricky, so it was a slow ride. 'You Feel Okay?' is a direct reflection of that balance.
"The song is a reflection of friendship, gratitude, and connection we have for each other to continue to do this on our own terms. We’re psyched to finally put these songs out into the world. It’s all about the game and how you play it."

Curves will be released via Hex Records.
