Their formation story:
(Lutfi Baihaqi, guitarist): “When we started, we were all in different bands—Cloverfield, Blazt, Asta, and True Or False. We used to play shows together a lot and became friends through that.
“Then, in early 2024, we decided to start a Youth Crew band because we all love the genre.”
Their sound in their own words:
“We’ve got a lot of different influences in the band, but most of us are really into Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, and Mindset. Some of us also like Boston hardcore bands like Step Forward, Free Spirit, and Stop and Think.
“We kinda mix those styles to create our own sound for Spears.”
Latest release info:
“These are the first two songs we wrote together as a band. They’re about pushing back against negativity and breaking free from a pointless past. You can check them out now on all streaming platforms.”
“Since it’s our first demo, we’re just enjoying the ride. The sound isn’t anything crazy yet, but we’re still figuring things out and finding the right vibe for Spears.”
Future plans:
“Our first show is on February 9, 2025, in our hometown. After that, we’re planning to write more songs, drop an EP, and do a weekend tour.”
