Lazer Bullet, Spirit Suck Shit (Black Water Records / Convulse Records, 2024)

Blasting their way out of Portland, Lazer Bullet delivers a primal ferocity that grinds you into punk rock pulp while razor sharp vocals incinerate every sense of balance and tranquility.

Their debut EP, Spirit Suck Shit, comes out on all cylinders with an emphasis on raw punk rock power with an unrelenting sound that comparable to early USHC like Articles of Faith, early Poison Idea, or more recently, Hope? or Golpe.

A bit of low-fi approach to the overall production, but that’s what gives the record its signature sound of no-holds-barred hardcore punk.

Portland has a long history of good music and Lazer Bullet continue the tradition by carrying out a full-aural assault on the scene both locally and globally:

If you’re familiar with Portland, then you know Black Water, both the venue and label are a gem in the DIY underground and one of the most trusted and reliable people that own and operate it (Keith) are an absolute asset to our community.

Lazer Bullet is one of those assets and thanks to Black Water Records, we now have this fine piece of punk rock.

The cassette version of Spirit Suck Shit is being handled by Denver label, Convulse Records.
