As I present my photos from the final day of Milwaukee Metal Fest, some of you might notice I titled my review borrowing from Milwaukee Metal Fest alums Obituary’s 1992 record.
A wide variety of death metal was found throughout Milwaukee Metal Fest this year and is still a favorite subgenre of mine. Despite a mix of fatigue from the last few days and what I’m almost certain is a minor concussion, I made it through all 3 days of Milwaukee Metal Fest. I made a point to check out bands I wasn’t familiar with or hadn’t heard in a while including Monochromatic Black, Upon Stone, Stabbing, and Skeletal Remains.
Along with the above-mentioned bands, I was grateful to have a second attempt at documenting some photos of the Death to All tribute to Death during their second set of the festival. I also made a point to see Exhumed, Atheist, Gatekeeper, I Am Morbid, Lacuna Coil, and In Flames. For both Lacuna Coil and In Flames, it was a meaningful experience to document their respective as I’ve listened to their music for the majority of my life.
The only band that won’t be seen in this recap is Lacuna Coil since I already shared some of my photos in my article which highlighted my favorite sets during Milwaukee Metal Festival.
Thanks for checking out my photo work in documenting Milwaukee Metal Fest and make sure to support these bands. I can’t end this recap without expressing my immense gratitude again to Jamey Jasta and the entire team involved with Milwaukee Metal Fest, the staff of The Rave/ Eagles Club, and Katy of Suspiria PR.
While I’m not sure when I’ll make it back out to a show at this point, I know the time and effort was worth it.
