Jocko: Nebraska Band Drops Music Video for “Looking Glass Self” (PREMIERE)

I first wrote about Jocko on the site back in February, when I featured their 2018 debut album, Expression. Since then, the Nebraska band has steadily been working the road and bringing their stylistic brew of hardcore, rock, and hip-hop to new audiences, including an appearance at this year's LDB Fest in Louisville, KY.

With the group's profile rising within the last few months, Jocko is back with a music video for "Looking Glass Self," a track off of the aforementioned Expression album. The clip was done by Moses Nebalasca and created by Harrison Martin:

"The lyrics for 'Looking Glass Self' were written from a spot of self reflection," Jocko vocalist Jacob Adam tells me. "It's the voice in my head pulling me back to reality. No matter who you are or where you're at, it's important to check yourself, your behavior, the choices you're making, and acknowledge how it's affecting your friends and family.

"Recognizing and correcting shortcomings can be hard but humbling. Look in the mirror and hold yourself accountable to the decisions you've made."

Expression is available now via Dog Years Records. Follow Jocko on Instagram and Twitter, and catch them on tour this summer on one of the dates below:
