Their formation story:
(Dan Mélizan, guitarist): "I wrote the original demos, minus vocals, for what's become our upcoming 7-inch in around 2016, and just never managed to get a band together at the time. I spoke to Paul about writing some vocals in early 2021 with the idea of just sticking it on Bandcamp and being done with it, but I ended up finding a bassist, Ian, and drummer, Jamie, later that year, and it all fleshed out from there.

"We added Nats on second guitar to beef out the sound a bit and put our heads down reworking and refining my old demos till the songs had a bit of everyone's influence in them."

Their sound in their own words:
"We get told we sound like early Ceremony a lot. I don't hear it too much myself, but Ceremony are Paul's favourite band so it makes sense in that regard. We try and sit at that intersection between punk and hardcore, and we're really looking up to the other bands doing that really well at the moment like Scowl, GEL, and SPY.

"Lyrically, the entire record is a response to Paul's surroundings during COVID, especially his NHS job at University Hospital of Wales. We all bring a little something else though, like Nats' love of stoner and classic rock, Ian's into garage and egg punk, and Jamie and I love power violence."

Latest release info:
"We've got a 2-track tape that's just come out on February 1st via my own label, Hollow Life Records, and longtime friends Nuclear Family Records. We played our release show at what's fast becoming Bristol's go to punk venue, The Crown, and had a blast kicking off our first release. The B-side, 'Dogwhistle,' is gonna feature on our 7-inch but 'Susceptible Host' is a standalone, so make sure you grab a tape while you can."

Future plans:
"We have a 7-inch coming out this year, with the digital release of that coming out as soon as possible, so keep your eyes peeled. Aside from that we just want to make the most of the summer and play some tours, hopefully hit mainland Europe if we can!"

What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Gimic have a record coming out this year and it's probably gonna be the best record coming out of Bristol in 2023. Other bands to check out are Framework, The Pinch, Seagull Boys and Vibration Boys. It's the new wave of south west punk and hardcore!"
