Formed in 2009, and featuring dudes from such bands as Fumbles In Life, Product, No More Fear, and The Miracle, Set Me Free is a hardcore band from Italy that might or might not be on your radar. I know that they weren't on mine till Gian from the group hit me up about their new EP, Imprisoned.
It's simple, if you love classic-era Revelation Records and the '90s Youth Crew revival bands, Set Me Free nail the sound and spirit perfectly. "Zombified Scene" appears on Imprisoned and is a fast-paced ripper that kept my finger on the "rewind" button thanks to its catchy breakdowns and gang vocal parts. The end of the track is introduced by an ominous bass line that let's you know that a hard mosh is on its way, and you know what, the guys deliver.
