Honey: Philly Crossover Specialists Light a “Forever Fire” on New Track (PREMIERE)

Initially conceived as a solo project of guitarist/vocalist Jay Laughlin (Turning Point, Godspeed), Honey eventually morphed into a full band, making their No Echo debut last summer via their Nightmare Come to Life EP. Dealing out a crossover thrash style that fans of Power Trip and Enforced would salivate over.

2020 should have been a big launching year for Honey with their aformentioned EP in stores and a grip of live shows booked, but the lockdown put a stop on their gigging plans. But the last few months have been fruitful for the quartet.

Not only did Honey write and record their forthcoming 8-track LP, Forever Fire, the band also landed a deal with Hellminded Records (Shades Apart, No Escape)

In this No Echo exclusive, we're pleased to bring you the premiere of the title track to the 12 inch as an appetite-whetter:

"We chose 'Forever Fire' for the video because we felt it represents the main theme and vibe of the entire album," Jay told No Echo via email. "It’s very direct, fast and pissed off. It was the first song I wrote for the LP and it set the tone for what I wanted the album as a whole to become.

"I had my younger brother, Dave, come in a few nights while tracking the LP to just film some stuff to help document the recording process. He then used some of that footage to make the video. I’ve always been a fan of the 'behind-the-scenes' type music video and I'm really excited by how this came out. It’s like getting a sneak peek into the process of making a record."

Forever Fire will be released on May 28th via Hellminded Records. Hit the pre-order right here.
