Last night (Oct. 1) at Skatelab in Simi Valley, CA, Rise Against peformed in honor of music journalist Trevor Kelly and singer Steve Jennings (Last of the Believers, Spark of Life), who were both celebrating birthdays. The private event also featured musicians from such bands as Death By Stereo, Texas Is the Reason, Judge, Strife, Ignite, and Sugarcult joining Rise Against for covers of some classic hardcore songs. Moby was also in attendance and performed a version of Minor Threat's "In My Eyes" with the Chicago punk outfit.
Thanks to photographer Rob Wallace (who I'll be profiling on the site soon) for these great shots and video from the night. It looked like a lot of fun!
