Band: Wrath of Gods
From: Southern California
Their formation story:
"This band kind of was born from the ashes of a previous band some of us were in at the time. We had some songs for another release for the next band, and at the time we just felt it should be a different name as most of the members were not originals and the vibe for the songs was different from the previous band. So we decided to call it 'Wrath of Gods.'”
Their sound in their own words:
"Our style is definitely blackened hardcore. Some of our influences vary. But we notable influences are Entombed, Buried Alive, Turmoil, Santa Sangre, Another Victim, Ringworm, and Cursed."
Newest release info:
"Our new release, Death Above, Chaos Around, Hell Inside, dropped around the beginning of this year. We’re extremely happy to have put this out. Andrew Solis from Dead Stare Audio got everything we wanted out of it in terms of sound, lyrically, musically, and attitude.
"We feel it was a perfect reflection of the band. Talking about humanity being its own downfall, paranoia, the curse of debt, and being who you truly are and figuring out how to survive this fucked up world."
Future plans:
"Our future plans are to do a little touring, we’re stoked to go out for a run in early February on the West Coast for some days with Torn in Half from Boston."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Here’s some bands that deserve attention: Sanctify, Bliss, Broken Mouth, Harsh Reality, Darasuum, Firestarter, End Days, Barrio Slam, Foreign Pain, and God Awful."
