Band: Feral Nature
From: Oslo, Norway
Their formation story:
(Rob Hamilton, guitar/backing vocals): "I’m originally from Sydney, Australia but moved to Oslo, Norway and in 2018 started working as the house sound engineer at a venue called Vaterland Bar & Scene. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet a ton of incredible musicians and it was only a matter of time before I started trying to assemble my own dream team. It’s taken time but I’m really stoked with our lineup and I’m really excited to see what we can do."
Their sound in their own words:
"I would say we’re a distillation of Deathwish Inc., circa 2000-2010s, and our shared connections to the Scandinavian, British, and Australian hardcore scenes."
Latest release info:
"We decided to record ‘Unleash’ as an introduction to what we’re about. It was recorded live by Kenneth Storkås at Endless Tinnitus, mixed by me at Eureka Soundworks, mastered by Zach Weeks at God City Studios, and our bassist Will Morris directed/edited the video."
Future plans:
"We’re planning a short Scandinavian tour in October that will finish with Høstsabbat festival in Oslo. We’re also releasing an EP in November, so keep an ear to the ground for that one."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"There’s too many to name, but if anyone is interested in what the Nordic scene has to offer, I’ve been making this playlist that spans everything from death-doom to power violence."
