Ohio is constantly putting out heavy bands that people praise, thanks to labels like Delayed Gratification Records putting them on the map. Recently, Forest Fucker, Columbus power violence band, started their own label, The Green Church Label.
To date, they have issued three things under the label, and also released several under a different label, Turfgrass Management, prior. Forest Fucker started in March of 2020, dropping their demo, with track titles such as “Donate Your Body to Science” and songs averaging 45 seconds.

"A laptop covered in National Parks stickers that's used exclusively to mine bitcoin and illegally stream anime. A Nalgene water bottle overflowing with hitchhiker piss, rocking back and forth in the cupholder of an outdated Subaru headed west on unpaved roads. A pervert daydreaming about the smell of his cousin's Birkenstocks after an Earth First march in the summer sun.

The ideal soundtrack for the slow motion ecological collapse happening before our eyes everyday, this demo is exclusively for posers who didn't get into hardcore until college, and hippies that hate the Grateful Dead. On New Year's Eve 2022, The Green Church Label dropped demos for Axed, an Ohio River Valley band featuring members of Corker and Anteater, from Columbus. Axed being straight forward, no bullshit, hardcore punk.
Following in Forest Fucker’s footsteps is Anteater, with stranger, less structured heavy music:
A week later, the label dropped Forest Fucker’s split with Smear Campaign, to coincide with a Itch.io game, released by FF themselves. The visual art for the game is all by the two bands, featuring songs like “You Are All Cowards With No Riffs” and “The National Parks."

You can follow Forest Fucker on Instagram. Anteater are not on social media, and Axed are only on Instagram as far as I know. The Smear Campaign/Forest Fucker split is sold at shows only, but the Axed and Anteater demos can be purchased from the label’s Big Cartel, and they are on Instagram as well.
