Their formation story:
(Danny Sluka, vocals): "With Tied Down Fest every June in Detroit, and weekday shows happening right down the street at Edgemen HQ, I have wanted to contribute something of my own inspired by roots hardcore. After a few false starts, I reconnected with Zas who drummed on my former band Coalition's full-length titled Breaking Point which was released by Porcell years ago.
"Zas, now in Chicago, mentioned he had some hardcore songs ready to go. In January, he sent me mp3s of two tracks that would become 'Concrete Skull' and 'Hated by You.' They were exactly what I wanted to hear!"
Their sound in their own words:
"I'm a Revelation Records guy and Zas is a Roadrunner guy. So I hear the tension of these two influences across the demo. I think it's our mutual love for Cro-Mags, Leeway, and Integrity that is the honey that makes it all stick together."
Latest release info:
"I'd like to think our sound is accessible to both fast and heavier hardcore fans alike. This demo itself is 5 tracks of plain hardcore. There's nothing fancy about the songs, but each has a unique personality."
Future plans:
"We are wrapping Volume 2 and will drop it digitally in the next few months as a quick follow-up to this release, Then our goal is simple; Play shows this summer and write a full-length record."

Do you have an hour to spare? Michigan has a prolific hardcore scene right now. I'd recommend checking at the rosters of Heroes & Martyrs Records (Big Deal, Moral Pollution, and Suffer No Fools) and Top Floor Tapes (Vigilante, Ante Up, Stop at Nothing, Dead Hang, xPersistx, and Luck Runs Out) to get a glimpse of the awesome things happening in Michigan.
